| The MOVE Lab | ||||||||||||||||||||||
| "Motion Tracking Virtual Environment Lab." Completed in the fall 2006 this motion tracking lab facilitates the study of virtual environments, kinesthesia, and learning; networked and live multimedia performances; and narrative installations and exhibits. The first projects generating from the MOVE Lab include the MINDful Play Environment, a virtual learning environment that explores media-rich, kinesthetic experiences for teaching math, science, and language concepts through the use of motion tracking technology; and Rhapsody Room, an interative virtual environment for the creation of digital poetry. A recent networked performance was held in the MOVE Lab for an audience in Vancouver, Canada at 2007 bc.net conference.
